Getting back into the groove....

I've been away a long time, but I am going to attempt to post more often. I haven't had time for my paper crafting, let alone blogging about it. :( I have made a few cards, but of course I forgot to take pictures of all of them. I am thinking about opening an Etsy shop selling Vinyl wall stickers, since I recently got a 24" wide digital die cutter (love it love it love it!) I am going to be helping out a friend cutting out some things for her wedding. I'll share that kind of stuff also. That's all for now.

A card I made

I made this card for a challenge at the Paperthreads Forum.

I used a cutter file from Carrie Schwartz - its her Ornamental Decor File. As for the products I used, I really don't know, I made it all out of scrap pieces!

Direction

I think I need some direction. I have another blog where I mainly focus on my family (it's vhab.blogspot.com if you are interested.) I don't really want to blog my family here, since I already do it there, so I made a poll to see what people want to read about. Let me know, and I will try to comply! The poll is over there, to the right.

Thanks!
Vanessa

Ahh... time, technology, blogging!

So I made a card this last week, and some other fun things, and I'm going to post them, if I am ever blogging where the pictures are! Technology! I tell you! It's great, when it works.

If you come and visit me, please leave a comment! I'd be interested to know who is visiting, and where you came from!

My Creative Outlet

Let me just get this out: I am a Creative Memories Consultant, (sort of). I mean, I am, in the sense that I can sell the products. I have had two shows now, and they both went surprisingly well. I started out last June, because I hosted a show, and the starter kit was only about $20 more than what I was going to buy, and had almost all of the things I was looking at buying in it. So I signed up. Got my wonderful kit, and then did nothing. Oh, well, I spent a lot of money, but I didn't try to "build my business" as they say. So at the end of December I deactivated. I had almost everything I wanted anyway. Then in May they were offering a come back free kind of deal, so I did. They had some fun new products out, and it was an easy way to get them at a discount. But then I started thinking, it would be really nice if next time I take maternity leave, if I could stay out of work a little bit longer. So I am working at it. If you are in the Quad City area, and are interested in hosting a Get Together, I would love to hold one for you. Or, I can set up an online show, and you can have a Cyber Get-Together. It might be kind of fun! Just let me know!

In other news:
I have decided that I am going to try to post a new layout here every week. Why? Because I need motivation. I get almost no scrapping done for myself anymore, and I miss it.

Why me, Why scrapping?

I first got into scrapbooking because I was invited to a scrapbook party. I will uphold to this day that my husband MADE me go to that party. I didn't want to go. I had fun! It was easy! It was a great creative outlet!
Now, it is a VERY expensive hobby! But I still love it.
